Chloe’s extremely gravid GPOYW !!
She is not pregnant, she is gravid. Which simply means that she is carrying eggs. They aren’t fertile.

update on the egg laying ordeal: still no luck! She spends more time hanging out in the bottom of her habitat. the eggs are noticeably dropping down in her abdomen. Coloration is getting more vivid & she’s keeping the darker colors longer when she climbs to bask. Appetite is real good & still nimble as all get out.

it’s Chloe! She was on blackout for SOPA & PIPA yesterday, so here’s her gpoy & here’s your Chamaeleo factoid for the day,
primarily a solitary lizard, male & female Veiled Chameleon tolerate each other only during breeding.
Oh & she say’s Thanx for the postcard uncle Zeek!
Aack! I forgot Chloe’s gpoyw! & your Chameleon factoid for the day, most Chameleon species lay eggs, a few do the live birth thing. Chameleons like Chloe will produce egg clutches of up to 70 eggs in captivity, while those in the wild average clutches of around 20 eggs.
